Fightstar est composé d'Alex Westaway (voix et guitare), Charlie Simpson (également voix et guitare), Dan Haigh (basse) et Omar Abidi (batterie).
Ils se sont formés en 2003, lorsque Charlie était encore dans le groupe Busted.
Début 2005, Charlie quitte Busted afin de plus se concentrer sur sa carrière avec Fightstar.
Et depuis les titres s'accumulent ( Palahnuiks Laughter, Grand Unification, Paint Your Target...)
